  • First choice – theater or classroom

  • Second choice – round tables

  • One hour prior for review of sequencing and mic check

  • 30 minutes prior to presentation

Meeting Checklist

Are you ready for a superb meeting?  To help you ensure everything goes smoothly for your engagement with Lee Colan or Julie Davis-Colan, we have provided the following checklist – so nothing gets overlooked and you will look like a superstar!

  • Confirmed the exact time, date and location of the presentation by contacting The L Group.
  • Completed the Pre-Meeting Questionnaire to provide The L Group with background on your company and details of the event.
  • Sent us additional background information on your company (i.e., annual and quarterly reports, company brochures, new employee packages, etc.).
  • Submitted the meeting program/agenda to The L Group.  Are there any last minute changes or additions we should be aware of (i.e., additional speakers, etc.)?
  • Confirmed the exact time, date and location of the presentation by contacting The L Group.
  • Completed the Pre-Meeting Questionnaire to provide The L Group with background on your company and details of the event.
  • Sent us additional background information on your company (i.e., annual and quarterly reports, company brochures, new employee packages, etc.).
  • Submitted the meeting program/agenda to The L Group.  Are there any last minute changes or additions we should be aware of (i.e., additional speakers, etc.)?
  • Obtained all of the logos, photos, bios and other information necessary to promote the event.  (If you require something that is not found on our website, please contact us.)
  • Reserved all of the Audio/Visual Equipment for the meeting.  Refer to the Audio/Visual Requirements list.
  • Confirmed accommodation and travel arrangements, including local ground transportation to and from your meeting venue.  Forwarded accommodation and transportation details to The L Group.
  • Reviewed and faxed back a signed copy of Letter of Understanding that outlines the scope of the presentation and payment terms.
  • Arranged for each attendee to receive a copy of one of our books (at your discretion).
  • Selected someone, with strong speaking skills before audiences, to introduce Lee or Julie.  Provided the Introducer with a copy of Lee or Julie’s Introduction to rehearse with?

Introduction for Lee

Introduction for Julie

Julie Davis-Colan co-founded The L Group, Inc., a leadership and organizational development firm, in 1999. She is an innovative business advisor and peak performance coach with experience in sales and marketing to Fortune 500 companies.  Julie has co-authored five popular books, Stick with It: Mastering the Art of Adherence and Getting the BEST of Yourself and Others.

Prior to consulting, Julie conceptualized and managed several profitable business units and led successful turn-arounds at the American Heart Association’s National Center. Her clients were many of the Fortune 500 including Home Depot, Westinghouse, Dean Foods and Coca-Cola Foods.

Julie earned her Master's degree in Preventive Medicine from Ohio State University's College of Medicine after earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology, with honors, from Florida State University. She has been coaching and encouraging positive behavior change for 30 years while focusing on organizational health and peak performance.
