The King of Motivation, and of Service, Zig Ziglar, sums up the spirit of service best with his famous quote (and my personal favorite!), "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."
The journey toward success is rarely ventured alone. Success is achieved with the help of others along the way —helping us turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones. The term "quick success" is a fallacy, the fastest path to true success is found by helping others succeed. And as leaders, if we want to get the best from others, first we give the best of ourselves.
We cannot do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good we can do.
